Separation Anxiety

Yesterday was brutal. I left Susan and Ali in San Francisco. I praise God for every second I got to spend with Ali and for the two days I spent with the charming and beautiful Susan. But it was too short. Now Susan is there with Ali and I know that her loving touch and soothing voice will be used by the Lord, along with your continued intercession, as a healing balm.

The amount of improvement I personally observed was amazing. Last week at this time, the doctor was having conversations with me about the possibility that Ali may never be able to breathe without the machine. But, a few days later, she was breathing totally on her own. She's opens her eyes, and she cries when she needs to be comforted. Ali responds to the comforting touch of her mother, her grandmother, and the gentle, caring touch of her nurses.

Today's plan is to move her out of intensve care and up to the pediatric ward. That's another big, confident step.

I hope this news encourages you like it does me.

I'm off today to the Bahamas to be with my son. There probably won't be any updates for a couple of days. In the meantime, I'm praying about the right way to share with you how all this happened...

That is so awesome. I've been praying every night and will continue until the storm is over. Have a safe trip to the bahamas.

Wow, Bryon! If they're moving her out of ICU, they must be feeling much more confident of her stability.

She has made remarkable improvements, which I know we're supposed to expect, when we know God is involved. As someone once said, "I believe in healing, but when I see it, I *really* believe in it!"

I'm still praying for Ali and for all of you. Enjoy your son.

I am still praying your testimony of who God is right now in your life has been an encouragement to me. My heart hurts for Ali, and the rest of your family in this time of need. I will not stop praying because my (our) God is a God of miracles.
