Person of the Year: You

It's typical of mega-journalism to pooh-pooh the thoughts and opinions of you amateurs blogging or creating or otherwise making themselves heard on the Internet. But this year, Time Magazine has named you person of the year. There is no denying that your voice matters. So, if you haven't posted or uploaded your podcast or video in a while, we're waiting to hear from you. You matter.
The annual honor for 2006 went to each and every one of us, as Time cited the shift from institutions to individuals - citizens of the new digital democracy, as the magazine put it. The winners this year were anyone using or creating content on the World Wide Web.

not a big Time mag fan but I thought they did a good job on this selection. I was afraid they were going to choose the Hezbollah.
