It's not intended to offend any body, it is just un edited...

I think all the "God" jargon makes allies story sound like other Christian cheesy stories that only sell in Christian book stores and I don't like being called the "prodigal daughter" in dads writing. I left because palm beach and the world we lived in was shallow, cliched, and judgmental. Its not like I took an inheritance and blew it on drugs alcohol and prostitutes. I think it's a serious life story that can affect anyone who hears it and does have a strong impact on one's faith, but the strong emphases on "Christianity" fluffs it up and doesn't tell it like it was or how we really felt, I feel dad is wrapping it up in a neat shiny box package for suburban middle class Christians to swallow. I didn't want to tell him that directly because I didn't want to offend his writing. If the story was about dads personal walk with God and his personal trials and tribulations, it would make sense, but it's a story about allies life and how that changed everything and everyone. So far it is coming from one very strong perspective that is playing to an audience. I dunno I guess I just felt misrepresented or that this story was so out of the box and couldn't be conveyed with out being raw, gritty, and undigested.Charity is a Verbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09714092038243312333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17744322.post-74020430669642858182013-08-28T05:03:25.135-04:002013-08-28T05:03:25.135-04:00My heart breaks as a read this excerpt much like i...My heart breaks as a read this excerpt much like it did as I began to learn details as you shared them early on. As time has gone by, the heart break has turned into admiration and respect for you and Susan; two people whom I already admired and respected but now on a new level. Your tragedy has become an inspiration that we have shared with others and will continue to share. May God continue to bless you and your family.
