He makes a confusing choice of words by saying ...1. He makes a confusing choice of words by saying "lust for anyone but your wife is condemned by God...". He should have said sexual desire.

2. I haven't heard Tom Leykis. I have heard other morning shock jocks (including one and a pair who are on satellite radio) and what Driscoll said about Leykis would apply to them. Those morning show hosts are heavy into porn, and that was one of the reasons I got rid of satellite radio altogether.

3. "major-league pervert....mating scenes of a nature channel".

Nothing surprises me anymore.

4. "lingerie catalogs...swimsuit issues, anything else I have forgotten that some son of Adam finds titilating". He touches on an issue that needs to be addressed: you don't have to see skin to sin in this area, nor to struggle with the sin.

5. He's right about the desensitization of our culture towards sexuality.

6. He's also right about how we're not supposed to sin sexually, both in action and in thought.

7. The problem IS "in you", in me, in all of us. The problem is in the heart; Tim Challies helpfully pointed out that Steve Arterburn's method of dealing with temptation by bouncing the eyes is helpful in itself, but insufficient because it fails to address the core issue: dealing with the heart.

8. Like Driscoll said: I need to own my sin and repent.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17744322.post-18739459433661053472008-10-29T20:56:00.000-04:002008-10-29T20:56:00.000-04:00Gonna read this chapter real quick - then comment....Gonna read this chapter real quick - then comment.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17744322.post-31592177870606563592008-10-29T01:43:00.000-04:002008-10-29T01:43:00.000-04:00This post is really honest and enlightening.
