The Soldier's Reality
Our walk through life as a Christian is a battle field. We find ourselves in a constant struggle; engaged in an un-ending war.
Peter 5:8 (New King James Version)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
The army of Jesus is a volunteer force.
The soldier's orders
- they're personal
- God gives us orders tailored to us
The soldier's enemy
- we're not beyond temptation
- we need to continue in our training
- the enemy has many cunning tactics
The soldier's warfare
- the soldier must be aware of and know how to use his weapons
- God takes everything out of us to make us into something else
- He provides us with armor
- the warrior must have a heart to go into battle
The soldier's duty
- to stand
- take up your armor
