Thankful

My friend Luann is doing something cool on her blog this month. She's thinking about the things she's thankful for. What a great idea. I wish I'd thought of it. I usually think about the things I want to complain about or have a strong opinion about and write about those.

Today, I'm thankful for my wife, the charming and beautiful Susan. That shouldn't surprise those that know me. She comes to mind first when I'm thinking of things to be thankful for. She completes me.

I feel sorry for the people who are searching for their soul mate. Honestly, I think the search is futile. You are not someone's soul mate. You become someone's soul mate. I'm thankful that my wife has stayed with me these twenty-two years and has become my soul mate. I've got the better end of the bargain.
