Separation Anxiety Part Duexe

Sunday I said goodbye to the church family that has poured into my life for the past ten years. Pastor Dan turned his pulpit over to me so I could tell everyone what's been going on in our family for the past few months and where we see life going for us. I was nervous and emotional about speaking to the church. I only speak to our congregation a couple of times of year, so I'm not all that comfortable in front of more than about ten people.

They went ahead and uploaded an MP3 recording of Sunday's talk. You can listen to it or download here. If you've been following Ali's Story, I think you'll find it semi-interesting...

I'm guessing there were no dry eyes in the house. And I'm sure you did very well and were well received, with a great send-off. I do know how bitter-sweet that is.

And you never know...there could have been someone there for whom your story hit very close to home and who found your story helpful.

Hope you had a safe trip across the mountains...we sure enjoyed your visit back at CCJ. I re-checked that weather.com stat...highest ever in Eureka was 87 degrees in 1993, highest in San Fran was 106 in 1961 (quite a difference for 2 coastal cities). Lowest by the way for Eureka was 20 degrees in 1888 (remember that growing up? :-) ), and lowest for San Fran was 24 in 1972. We also miss you guys already...please give our love to Susan, Ali and Charity.

Love, Bob and Dorinda

It was good to see you again, Bryon! Hopefully your work will bring you back to FL once in awhile. Remember to give Susan a hug for me! Although I was sorry to see you go, I can't wait for you to get back to your family and post more Ali pictures!! I love how you likened seeing Ali for the first time to seeing the world suddenly change from black and white to brilliant color! So true! After one second in my arms I wondered how I ever existed without Caleb. Remember that you are the joy and delight of your Heavenly Father's heart too!
Much Love to Susan, Ali and Charity!
