The New Rocking Chair

We went out and bought a new gliding rocking chair to make ourselves and Ali comfortable. We were so pleased with this purchase that I was about to post an article on my blog about this fantastic acquisition. I assembled the rocker using instructions poorly translated from Japanese,
and Ali refused to be rocked in it. A serious case of buyers remorse set in so I decided not to discuss my purchase gone bad. Thankfully, we found something in my sister's spare room that redeemed us.

An exercise ball is perfect for bouncing our baby to sleep. We kill two birds with one stone. We get a work out as Ali is bounced into the Twilight Zone.

Does anybody else have any good, cheap ideas for making babies comfortable?

I found your blog through Bryan Stupar's...I've been reading and praying for Ali...she was born on my birthday and exactly a month before my son...
Anyway, on to your question...the ball is the best...i used it with my son...and my sister used and still does with her super colicky baby...
The other thing that has been a life saver is my sling...there are many options of baby carriers...BUT mainly having baby at your level and close to you is totally great for comfort and development...I use a pouch sling from www.goo-ga.com...you can also find various slings on ebay...a ring sling works well if you and others want to wear baby because it is adjustable...keeps your hands mostly free...or at least one of them...and helps with arm fatigue...
whoa this got long sorry...just my 2 cents...

We called it the magic swing....It had a canvas seat, and looked like a minature swing set that you could wind up, give a push and it would tick away and within minutes...the kids were asleep....magic

Hi there. There's a bear out there that makes the sounds of the womb. She may be a little too old for that, but maybe not. We put it right in the crib with out little ones.
