Fact is Stranger than Fiction

When I begin to have doubts about how I handle a crisis or a difficult decision I've made, I read about someone bungling a similar situation in a major way. I mean really bad. And then I have some mixed up feelings. First, I feel bad for victims, then, I feel a little happy (alot happy, really)that I didn't - or even think of in my wildest imagination - do that...

That's why I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I watch shows like COPS and other reality TV; there are people out there dumber than me.

BOSTON (Reuters) - Police charged a Maine couple on Monday of kidnapping their pregnant 19-year-old daughter, who was bound with rope and duct tape and bundled into her parents' car to force her to have an emergency abortion.

Nicholas Kampf, 54, and his wife, Lola, 53, were arrested on Friday in a New Hampshire parking lot after their daughter Katelyn escaped by persuading her parents to untie her so she could use a Kmart bathroom.

I would adopt her baby in a heartbeat!

That is so insane. Now, not only have they alinated their daughter and their grandchild, they are now in jail! Yea, that was way better then having a baby!

My hat's off to the daughter. She's in a tough situation, but at least she didn't want to kill her baby.
